Tito’s launches AI-powered bartending app

Tito’s Handmade Vodka has partnered with US food website Allrecipes to launch an artificial intelligence-powered virtual bartender.

The AI-powered bartending app will give users access to a host of different drinks recipes

The AI-powered bartending app, called Barkeep, will give users access to a host of different drinks recipes and will allow them to purchase Tito’s Vodka for delivery through online retailer Drizly.

Corbin de Rubertis, vice president of innovation for Allrecipes owner Meredith Corp, said: “We’re committed to using technology to make it easier and faster for cocktail enthusiasts to find recipe inspiration and execute their ideas.

“Barkeep is a fun, interactive way to make mixology and bartending more accessible.”

Users interact with the Barkeep chatbot directly through Facebook Messenger. The AI bartender will offer trending, seasonally relevant cocktails and recommendations tailored to each user’s preferences.

Barkeep can guide users through a wide range of topics, from how to mix a Moscow Mule to what drinks can be created with the ingredients they have at the time.

Nicole Portwood, vice president of brand marketing for Tito’s Handmade Vodka, said: “As a brand, we are always looking for new and innovative ways to connect with our fans and to make enjoying a Tito’s cocktail as simple as it should be.

“The virtual bartender allows us to help our fans make hand-crafted cocktails in real time and gives us the ability to deliver on demand, bringing the bar one step closer to you.”

It was recently announced that the Texas-based vodka brand would become the exclusive vodka partner of the European Bartender School (EBS).
