Don Ciccio to open distillery in Washington DC

Liqueur producer Don Ciccio & Figli has begun construction of its new production facility in the Ivy City neighbourhood of Washington DC.

Don Ciccio & Figli will move to a new site in Washington DC in the autumn

Once open, the new facility will boast a larger production area and a tasting room, and will allow the drinks brand to offer tours of the site.

The liqueur producer’s new facility will also house a bar, called Bar Sirenis, which will offer guests a range of cocktails made with the brand’s portfolio.

Designed by architect Mike Asbacher, CDS and designers Allen Studios, the distillery and Bar Sirenis will tie together an art deco style with industrial elements, incorporating Italian ceramic tiles custom-designed in Salerno, Italy.

Don Ciccio & Figli founder and master blender Francesco Amodeo said: “We’re excited to be moving to the heart of the burgeoning distillation scene in Washington DC.

“We really wanted to create a memorable educational experience for consumers, and the establishment of the new distillery and tasting room, along with Bar Sirenis, will enable us to do this.

“The new facility pays homage to our Italian roots while recognising we are a DC-based company and consumers will now have the opportunity to experience first-hand what makes our products so unique.”

Construction of the site is expected to be completed in Autumn 2018.
