UK restaurant chain launches cocktails on tap

UK-based restaurant chain Giraffe World Kitchen has partnered with kegged cocktail supplier Frizzenti to launch cocktails on tap in its venues.

Giraffe World Kitchen will start selling Mojito, Espresso Martini and Aperol Spritz cocktails on tap

Giraffe World Kitchen will begin serving Frizzenti’s Mojito, Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martini cocktails on tap across restaurants in Reading, Basingstoke and Bristol.

Frizzenti are the UK’s largest supplier of cocktails on tap, offering kegged versions of classic cocktails including Negroni Sbagliato and Pornstar Martinis.

George Workman, founder of Frizzenti, said: “We believe that whether you are a bartender or discerning cocktail drinker you will love the cocktails we have created. The natural assumption is that on-tap is poor quality and we want to blow that perception away.

“We are so excited to be serving so many of the nation’s favourite cocktails this summer and as the cocktails are served so quickly, there is never going to be a wait at the bar.”

The cocktails are supplied in 20L kegs that attach to any dispense system. They are CO2 or nitrogen injected to ensure the right level of fizz.

So far this year, 50,000 litres of Frizzenti’s cocktails have been poured at various outlets across the UK, serving 300,000 cocktails.

While having cocktails on tap provides quick, efficient service for some of the world’s busiest bars, SB found out if some bartenders think the serve detracts from the craft of bartending.
