Hendrick’s reveals World Cucumber Day activations
As this year’s World Cucumber Day approaches, William Grant & Sons-owned Hendrick’s has unveiled a list of events to celebrate the occasion.
Hendrick’s Gin will celebrate World Cucumber Day on 14 June
The gin brand will head stateside for the Bar Convent Brooklyn trade show, which takes place from 12-13 June, here Hendrick’s will premiere its Journey of Sensational Sips.
The two-day long “collision of cultures” will feature guest stints from bartenders hailing from Bramble Bar in Edinburgh, Hunky Dory in Frankfurt and Union Trading Company in Shanghai, among others.
Hendrick’s will then fly to Denver, Colorado to celebrate World Cucumber Day on 14 June.
The brand will once again be partnering with Edinburgh bar Bramble, with the venue’s bartenders facing off against a team from German bars Hunky Dory and Kinly Bar, as well as Schumanns Bar in Munich.
Sasha Filimonov, Hendrick’s Gin UK brand ambassador, said: “We’re thrilled and delighted to be taking this journey together with Bramble – which is not only one of my favourite drinking establishments, but is also certainly one of the world’s best.
“We are excited to share the UK’s outstanding cocktail prowess with the US and look forward to a healthy dose of cucumber-filled competition in Denver.”
In the run up to World Cucumber Day, Hendrick’s has also unveiled its Cucumber Curiositarium at Dubai airport, the travel retail activation features the world’s tallest cucumber.
