Jose Cuervo maker Becle has announced that its chief finance officer Daniel Elguea Solís will retire from the company at the end of June.

Becle’s chief financial officer will retire from the Tequila company this month

Elguea Solís will depart from the Mexico-based drinks group on 29 June 2018.

He also submitted his resignation to his position as alternate member of the board of directors.

Becle – which also produces 1800 Tequila, Bushmills Irish whiskey and Three Olives Vodka – is currently looking to recruit a replacement for Elguea Solís and will make an announcement as soon as possible.

In April, Becle saw its 2018 first quarter net sales fall by 12.7%, impacted by declines in the US and “negative” foreign exchange rates.

The Mexican drinks group sold around US$790 million-worth of shares in an initial public offering in 2017.
