Sheffield bar creates menu that doubles as city map
Sheffield cocktail bar Picture House Social has launched its latest drinks list, which doubles as a map of the bar team’s favourite places across the city.
Peter & Paul is inspired by the favourite flavours of the Sheffield design agency
The menu, created in partnership with online cultural guide to the city, Our Fave Places, includes 16 drinks designed to reflect a different business, creator or maker from across the city.
Head bartender at Picture House Social, Will Anderson, created drinks inspired by businesses including design agency Peter & Paul – whose favourite flavours include fig rolls, ginger biscuits and Soreen – and production company Warp Films, whose favourite flavours include whisky and Hobnobs.
Drinks on the menu were then designed to reflect the flavour choices of each establishment. Peter & Paul is made from El Dorado 5-year-old rum, PX Sherry, pimento dram, orgeat and lime with a Soreen garnish; while Warp Films combines Roe & Co Irish whiskey with Bryhh, oat syrup, lemon and tonic.
The cocktails are priced between £7 and £8.50 and also include creations influenced by Brooklyn-inspired eatery Lucky Fox, independent jeweller Cast and contemporary barbershop The Mardy Barber.
