Rooster Rojo Tequila prepares for 24-hour motor race

Amber Beverage Group-owned Rooster Rojo Tequila is gearing up to sponsor the J2 Racing team in the upcoming ADAC Zurich 24-hour motor race this weekend.

Set to take place in Nürburgring, Germany, from 12-13 May the J2 Racing team will start with a new generation 2018 Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup car, which can reach up to 280kph and has a 480-horsepower engine.

The €240,000 (US$285,000) car will be adorned with the Rooster Rojo Tequila logo on the hood, and will also feature black and red stripes on the white body.

Four J2 Racing drivers have been selected to navigate the 25km track: John Shoffner, Janine Hill, Arno Klasen and Duncan Huisman.

Seymour Ferreira, chief executive director of Amber Beverage Group, said: “Our Tequila category front-runner Rooster Rojo Tequila constantly receives the highest international category awards, so we expect the same results from the ambitious J2 Racing team.”
