New York’s Death & Co expands to Denver

Famed New York bar Death & Co has moved to a new market for the first time with the opening of its Denver outpost.

Death & Co Denver is based in The Ramble Hotel

Death & Co – a key name in the New York bar scene for the past 11 years – will offer a “robust culinary programme, drinks and immersive hospitality” at a new bar inside the boutique Ramble Hotel in Denver.

“We’ve always believed that what makes the Death & Co brand special is more than just our little bar in the East Village,” said Death & Co co-owner Ravi DeRossi.

“Death & Co has resonated so well with our guests because it serves cocktails with passion and attentive hospitality in a uniquely democratic setting. It’s this energy that we’re excited to express in so many dynamic ways.

“Death & Co Denver is an evolution from where we began years ago, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring that energy to Denver’s thriving food and drink scene.”

The new Death & Co Denver bar covers the entire lobby level of The Ramble Hotel and will feature a completely different menu to its New York site.

Alex Jump, formerly of RiNo Yacht Club and Mercantile, has joined the team as head bartender, while beverage director Tyson Buhler has curated a list of seasonal cocktails organised by flavour profile.

Beyond the bar, Death & Co Denver’s culinary team will be led by chef Wes Hamilton in collaboration with executive sous chefs Kathryn Caine and Quincy Cherrett.

The Death & Co Denver team also operates The Ramble Hotel’s other hospitality services, including its DC/AM café/bar, outdoor restaurant The Garden, 20-seat bar Suite 6A, theatre space Vauxhall, and morning room service.

As the hotel’s exclusive food and drink partner, Death & Co Denver will also provide catering for all private events.

Death & Co Denver is now open to the public, with a nightly service running from 5.30pm-2am.
