The Monkey Mixer is an 11,000-litre cocktail shaker made from a “pimped out cement mixer truck” and will be touring festivals and events around the UK.
Furthermore, The Monkey Mixer is kitted out with a DJ booth and sound system, and also features a retractable bar.
John Wayte, Monkey Shoulder UK ambassador, said: “Our mission is simple: to challenge the way people think about Scotch. We’re an award winning whisky that’s made for mixing – for us this isn’t just about creating new and interesting ways of drinking whisky, but about mixing with people, with music, with food, to create fun, shared experiences.
“The Monkey Mixer is a vehicle that will drive this mission in an unmistakably Monkey Shoulder way across the country, and hopefully turn whisky perceptions on their head”.
The Monkey Mixer will kick off its UK tour at the Foodies Festival in London this weekend (26-28 May) where it will be batching-up summer serves, including the Boom Box – made from Monkey Shoulder, cold press coffee liqueur, vanilla and coconut water.
The shaker will also visit Foodies Festivals in Birmingham, Knutsford, Edinburgh and Oxford between now and the end of August.
Monkey Shoulder introduced Smokey Monkey to the on-trade last year, designed to give a “needed” shake-up to the peated whisky category.
