Jack Daniel’s launches Around the Barrel podcast

American whiskey brand Jack Daniel’s has launched its first official podcast, called Around the Barrel with Jack Daniel’s.

The Jack Daniel’s Around the Barrel podcast will highlight stores from the brand’s history

The podcast, hosted by Lucas Hendrickson, will share stories and insights from the distillery, as well as the brand’s hometown of Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Each episode will feature a special guest sharing stories of the brand, from master distiller Jeff Arnett and distillery tour guides, to friends of the brand such as R&B star K Michelle.

John Higgins, Jack Daniel’s North America brand director, said: “It may be hard to believe for some, but every drop of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is made in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Jack Daniel was a real man, and we live by his motto that ‘every day we make it, we’ll make it the best we can’.

“We have more than 150 years of stories like this to tell, and we want to provide a new way for our friends and whiskey enthusiasts, some of who may never make it to our home place, to learn more about our special town and distillery.”

The 12-episode season of Around the Barrel with Jack Daniel’s will be available to download through Apple Podcast, Google Play, Stitcher and other on-demand audio platforms.

The brand’s owner, Brown-Forman, announced last week that it has taken legal action against the producers of Lonehand Whiskey, accusing the company of causing “irreparable harm” to the Jack Daniel’s trademark.
