Davis Spirits launches fruit-infused Tequila range
Texas-based Davis Spirits Company has launched a premium Tequila range, Playa Real, which includes two fruit-infused expressions.
Playa Real Tequila includes silver, mandarin and pineapple expressions
The silver, mandarin and pineapple expressions from Playa Real Tequila are triple distilled and made from 100% blue agave.
The inspiration behind the brand’s fruit-infused expressions came from founder Matt Davis, who would take regular trips to Mexico where he tasted locally-made, fruit-infused spirits.
Davis said: “I have grown so fond of Mexico’s vivacious culture and love the excitement of immersing yourself in a local community.
“With Playa Real Tequila, and more specifically the fruit-infused products, I wanted to bring that feeling of discovery to others, delivering a unique taste of Mexico that many haven’t experienced before.”
The two flavoured Tequilas are crafted using the original premium silver Tequila recipe, which is then infused with all-natural fruit flavours.
Davis added: “When creating the flavours, we were adamant about not lowering the alcohol content, like many other flavoured versions do, or sacrificing the quality of the base Tequila, hence our decision to use the silver recipe as the flavour base.”
Davis Spirits Company recently signed a partnership deal with Republic National Distributing Company to distribute Playa Real in Texas and Colorado, with a rollout to additional states on the horizon.
Each expression is bottled at 40% abv and carries an RRP of US$34.99 per 750ml bottle.
