Coppercraft Distillery expands canned cocktail range
By Owen BellwoodMichigan-based Coppercraft Distillery has extended its range of ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails with the launch of Michigan Mule.
Coppercraft Distillery’s Michigan Mule combines vodka with ginger cider and lime
The new RTD cocktail is a twist on the Moscow Mule, made with Coppercraft Vodka, ginger cider and lime. It is the second canned cocktail to be produced by the American distillery after its RTD Gin & Tonic.
Brandon Joldersma, general manager of Coppercraft, said: “Our canned gin and tonic is overwhelmingly popular, and we ended up needing a second canning run due to all the interest from retailers and consumers.
“The Moscow Mule is the most popular drink in Michigan right now and we want to create a simple version that people can take on their own adventure.
“You don’t even need to drink it out of a fancy copper mug – share it with a friend, straight out of the can or in any glass over ice.”
Production of the Michigan Mule has remained local to the distillery – Michigan-grown corn is used to make the vodka, which is then mixed with a locally-made ginger cider.
The Michigan Mule is canned at 10% abv and will be available in four-packs at retailers across Michigan.
In April, Coppercraft Distillery launched a new bottle design, while simultaneously adding two new whiskeys to its portfolio.
