VK searches for student brand ambassadors
By Owen BellwoodGlobal Brands-owned ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage VK has launched UK-wide search for its next student brand ambassadors.
Do you have what it takes to be a VK student brand ambassador?
In a bid to appeal to the VK’s 18-24-year-old student fan base, the initiative will give students the chance to be employed by the brand and represent its portfolio of flavours at their university.
To be in with a chance of becoming the brand’s ambassador, students across the country have been encouraged to submit a short video highlighting why they would be perfect for the role through VK’s website.
A VK ambassador tour will also hit key university cities, including Sheffield, Nottingham and Cardiff.
Jen Draper, head of marketing at Global Brands, said: “We designed this exciting new initiative to really get our VK community involved in the brand and become part of its future growth.
“Our student ambassador programme will ensure that VK continues to be the number one drink of choice amongst students as we carry on innovating in the sector.”
As part of the its Summer of VK events, the RTD hopes to reach more than six million 18-24-year-old students in the coming months.
Draper added: “Having relatable and real role models that know and love a brand is something that Generation Z really wants – so having our own on-the-ground VK ambassadors is the perfect fit.”
Earlier this year, VK producer Global Brands reported a 16% sales increase for its 2017 fiscal year.
