Inception Group to double Mr Fogg’s bars
UK-based hospitality operator Inception Group has revealed “aggressive expansion plans”, which include doubling the number of Mr Fogg’s venues and the introduction of a Mrs Fogg’s.
Inception Group was founded in 2009 by Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling
Inception Group operates the chain of Around the World in 80 Days-themed bars across London and plans to open three new Mr Fogg’s venues before the end of 2018.
The first will be Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals in Fitzrovia this June, followed by venues in Broadgate Circle in September and the Strand.
The new establishment in Broadgate will be the first Mrs Fogg’s venue by the group, situated in the largest pedestrianised neighbourhood in central London, which covers 4.9 million square feet of workplaces, retail spaces and restaurants.
Charlie Gilkes, co-founder of Inception Group, said: “We are delighted about this year’s biggest expansion in the history of Inception Group and the Mr Fogg’s Collection.
“We look forward to bringing London the next thrilling chapter in our Around The World in 80 Days journey.”
Inception Group, founded in 2009 by Gilkes along with Duncan Stirling, operates 10 conceptual venues across London.
The group’s first project was speakeasy bar Barts in 2009, swiftly followed by 80s-themed nightclub Maggie’s in 2010.
Mr Fogg’s Residence launched in 2013 and its opening was swiftly followed by sister project Mr Fogg’s Tavern and Gin Parlour, as well as Soho watering hole Cahoots, set in a 1940s underground station.
