Famous Grouse launches ‘affordable’ Cask Series
Blended Scotch whisky The Famous Grouse has released a new collection of “everyday premium” expressions, called the Cask Series.
The Famous Grouse Bourbon Cask is the first release in its new Cask Series
The new range is designed to offer fans an “affordable” way to experiment with new whisky styles, with each offering different flavours depending on the oak casks they were aged in.
The inaugural launch within the series is The Famous Grouse Bourbon Cask, which is available now in UK supermarket Tesco at an RRP of £19.
The whisky has been blended from a “high proportion” of liquid matured in American oak and first-fill Bourbon casks to deliver flavours of caramel and vanilla. Additional releases aged in alternative casks will follow in due course.
Kirsteen Campbell, master blender of The Famous Grouse, said: “The Cask Series is designed to showcase how different types of oak cask can influence flavour, delivering a range of wonderful flavours to appeal to a wide range of consumers.”
