Kovanda and Hopmayer will offer a “wider view of the potential factors affecting the company and its business environment”.

Amber Beverage said that the new board members will “strengthen” the company with their creative contribution, advice and governance.

Hopmayer has over 30 years of experience as a CEO, with many years spent in the alcohol industry in the public and private sector.

He shares his knowledge of retail, consumer product and beverages with alcohol supplier Brindiamo Group.

A graduate of the University of Denver, he was also the CEO of California Wine Company from 2007 to 2010.

He sits on the board of several privately owned companies in the consumer products space, as well as a private equity firm and a Chicago-based foundation.

Kovanda obtained a doctoral degree in economic science at Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

He is also the assistant rector at the Moscow International Institute and a board member of the Russian-French joint venture Continental-Invest.

Kovanda has been a board member of several international financial and manufacturing companies during his career.

In September last year, Amber Beverage Group launched Rooster Rojo Tequila – the company’s first new Tequila product since it acquired Jalisco-based Fabrica de Tequilas Finos in 2016.
