Altos Tequila celebrates family with touring fiesta
By Owen BellwoodPernod Ricard-owned Tequila brand Olmeca Altos is hoping to highlight the importance of family with a tour of six cities across the US.
Pernod Ricard-owned Altos will tour America celebrating family
Named in honour of Altos Tequila’s family duo of master distillers, the J. Hernandez and Sons Bodega experience will be popping up in six cities across the US from 16 April.
The experience will pay homage to the family bodegas across the country that define the culture of local neighbourhoods.
The J. Hernandez and Sons Bodega experience will be open for two nights in each city it visits, including Los Angeles, Denver, Austin and New York.
As part of this series, Altos will welcome chef and rapper Action Bronson into its extended family as he hosts the experience in both Los Angeles and New York.
Bronson said: “I’m no stranger to bodegas and the important role these family-run businesses play in the neighbourhood. It’s dope that Altos is celebrating bodegas by bringing people together.”
Each stop on the tour will feature vibrant, locally-inspired cocktails from Bar Lab’s curators Elad Zvi and Gabriel Orta, as well as ‘unique’ family food with an Altos twist.
Andrew Brimer, senior brand manager for Altos at Pernod Ricard USA, said: “J. Hernandez and Sons shows the connection between the corner stores and Altos; we believe in the importance of celebrating and sustaining family, friends and the appreciation for cultural traditions that bind us together.”
The tour will visit Los Angeles, California, on 16-17 April; Denver, Colorado, on 30 April-1 May; Austin, Texas, on 14-15 May; Nashville, Tennessee, on 21-22 May; New York on 11-12 June; and Chicago, Illinois, on 18-19 June.
