Aber Falls launches Welsh Dry Gin

Aber Falls Distillery has expanded its portfolio with the release of its latest spirit: Welsh Dry Gin.

Aber Falls Welsh Dry gin is made using locally sourced botanicals

Made using water from the Aber Falls waterfall, the new gin takes inspiration from traditional London Dry gins and incorporates locally sourced botanicals.

James Wright, managing director at Aber Falls Distillery, said: “The introduction of this classic liquid marks an important milestone for us as we extend our range of gins, styles and flavours, and continue to achieve high quality and consistent spirits to satisfy growing demand.

“The rise of regional gin has more than doubled in the last six months and we’re proud to be serving the spirit of North Wales to the local area and further afield.”

Distilled in copper pot stills, Welsh Dry Gin “leads with juniper and gives grapefruit, lemon and orange prominent roles”, while the finish is “subtly spicy and sweet”.

Aber Falls Welsh Dry Gin is bottled at 41.3% abv and is available at an RRP of £24 (US$34) per 700ml bottle.

The Distillery also announced this week that it has created a temporary visitor centre at its site in the lead up to the opening of a permanent fixture in autumn this year.

Aber Falls is the first distillery of its kind to open in North Wales in more than 100 years and plans to release its first whisky expressions in 2020.
