SureSwift Capital buys Taster’s Club subscription service

Private equity firm SureSwift Capital has acquired US-based spirits subscription service Taster’s Club for an undisclosed sum.

Taster’s Club has been purchased by SureSwift Capital for an undisclosed sum

Founded in 2012 by former CEO Mack McConnell, Taster’s Club sends subscribers an interesting bottle of spirit each month along with information about each product.

According to McConnell, the subscription service was popular as customers “loved the chance to learn about what they were drinking”, with his team frequently receiving requests for more information and additional spirits.

As a result, Taster’s Club has expanded its offerings over the years and now features 11 different categories – including whisk(e)y, Bourbon, Scotch, Tequila, rum, gin, vodka and Champagne.

McConnell said: “This acquisition will benefit current and future Taster’s Club members by allowing us to further diversify our clubs and selections and to scale to reach more people.

“Taster’s Club is as devoted as ever to giving members a 360-degree experience in spirits, and is excited for our new chapter.”
