Irish whiskey brand Jameson is hitting the road to celebrate local communities with its Love Thy Neighbourhood Block Party tour.
The tour, which kicks off in San Diego on 8 April, will shine a light on the “unique tastes, sounds and characters found within the neighbourhood bar”.
The inaugural Jameson Love Thy Neighbourhood Block Party tour has been organised in support of Keep America Beautiful, a community improvement non-profit.
Jameson Block Party will feature food and drinks, as well as live music from artists who benefited from the Jameson Music initiative and craft brewers from the whiskey brand’s Drinking Buddies programme.
Sebastien Borda, brand director for Jameson at Pernod Ricard USA, said: “Jameson is proud to celebrate the neighbourhoods of the US and invite fans to ‘Love Thy Neighbourhood’ with us at these block parties, whilst also supporting Keep America Beautiful.
“These local block parties and communal gatherings celebrate the unique characteristics that make up the distinctive neighbourhoods across the country.”
After launching in San Diego next month, the tour will go on to visit neighbourhoods in Nashville, Tennessee, and Austin, Texas, with plans to announce stops in other neighbourhoods in the coming months.
Tickets for the Jameson Love Thy Neighbourhood Block Party tour are on sale now for US$35, which covers admission into the festival and tasting experiences.
The Pernod Ricard-owned brand recently announced it was aiming to build its “profile and personality” across the globe with the launch of a new campaign.
