IBWSS announces 2019 dates

The organisers behind the International Bulk Wine and Spirits Show (IBWSS) have released the dates of next year’s event, following the inaugural London show held last week.

San Francisco-based trade show IBWSS has released dates for the 2019 London event

The IBWSS took place on 26-27 February at the Royal Horticultural Halls, offering a “first-hand” look at how UK-based importers, distributors and retailers can get involved in the bulk wines and spirits industry.

More than 70 exhibitors from all over the world showcased their latest products, from countries including California, Australia, South America and Europe.

According to organiser Beverage Trade Network, innovation was a key theme at this year’s show.

New products for the UK market included private label spirits from American whiskey producers and new glassware and stemware for wine and spirits.

A number of talks and debates took place during the show, including a seminar looking at ‘Private Label and Bulk Strategy For Importers and Distributors’, led by Clem Yates MW.

A panel discussion led by Andrew Catchpole, editor at Harpers Wine & Spirit, also covered specific aspects of how retailers could build profitable private label programs.

Registration is now open for the next IBWSS in London, held on 11-12 March 2019 at the Royal Horticultural Halls.
