Diageo highlights The Singleton Scotch in HK

Diageo has launched an immersive tasting experience, called The Singleton of Glen Ord Sensorium, at this year’s Taste of Hong Kong event.

The Singleton Sensorium will transport guests to the Scottish Highlands

The Singleton Sensorium will showcase the core range of whiskies from the Glen Ord Distillery when it opens its doors to whisky fans at this year’s Taste of Hong Kong event.

The experience will open at the central harbourfront area in Hong Kong, and will take whisky fans inside a giant purpose built cask, where they will be surrounded by video projections as part of a “unique” tasting experience.

For 30 minutes, 16 guests will be virtually transported to the Scottish Highlands where they will discover the history of the Glen Ord Distillery and Diageo’s Singleton whisky brand.

As part of the experience, guests will sample the distillery’s 12-, 15- and 18-year-old expressions.

The experience aims to emulate the profile of each whisky, and is designed with the influence of American and European oak, which is used in the maturation of The Singleton of Glen Ord.

Visitors to the Taste of Hong Kong event will be able to visit the Singleton Sensorium from 22-25 March.

As the brand continues its efforts to become the number-one-selling single malt whisky brand in the world, Diageo appointed the first ever Singleton brand ambassador, Ervin Trykowski.
