Bom Bom debuts vegan-friendly ‘cream’ liqueur
By Owen BellwoodUS-based liqueur producer Bom Bom Brands has launched Nilli Vanilli, a gluten-free and dairy-free rum-based ‘cream’ liqueur.
Nilli Vanilli is a dairy-free cream liqueur made with vanilla and cookie flavourings
Nilli Vanilli is made from almond milk, Caribbean rum and vanilla cookie flavours, giving it a taste of “creamy vanilla wafer”.
Bottled at 14% abv, the new expression joins the brand’s Coco Mochanut expression, which is also gluten-free and dairy-free.
Bom Bom Brands was founded by husband and wife team Kevin Mowers and Eva Maria Janerus in 2016.
Mowers, a food scientist, hoped to impress Janerus in the early days of their relationship by creating a dairy-free cocktail based on a Mounds Bar – a coconut chocolate bar similar to a Bounty.
Bom Bom’s first expression, Coco Mochanut, is flavoured with a blend of chocolate, coffee, coconut and Caribbean rum.
Nilli Vanilli is now available across the US with an RRP of US$19.99 per 750ml bottle.
The new release follows an increasing number of vegan-friendly and dairy-free liqueur expressions, including Baileys Almande.
