31Dover celebrates women in the on-trade with new campaign

Online drinks retailer 31Dover and global bar guide BarChick have teamed up on a video featuring high-profile women in the on-trade.

Created by BarChick Production, Women in Drinks is a three-minute video that contains insight from 11 leading women in the industry including Philippa Guy, senior bartender at The Savoy, Mia Johansson, co-founder of London bar Swift, and Claire Warner-Smith, head of new brands for Seedlip.

The campaign, which launched on International Women’s Day (8 March), aims to “encourage people to dispel any pre-conceptions surrounding the industry” and to celebrate women in the industry.

“When 31 Dover came to us with this idea we were so excited to create the video,” said Hannah Grace Lodge, owner and managing director, BarChick and Spirited Media.

“We’re starting to notice a real shift in the number of incredible women we get to work with, some of the industry’s biggest influencers are female, and it was about time this got shouted about.”

Lauren Webster, brand marketing manager for 31Dover.com, said: “As a woman who’s worked in drinks for years, I knew that the industry was bursting with strong, badass women.

“I felt a duty to raise awareness and shout about these women and show others that it’s not all about being a bartender, the drinks industry is a huge fun family that you can get into via so many other routes.”
