Thousands of buyers expected at Vinexpo New York

Wine and spirits trade show Vinxepo is poised to attract up to 3,000 buyers to its inaugural exhibition in New York.

Vinexpo New York will take place on 5-6 March

Due to take place at the Jacob K Javits Convention Centre from 5-6 March, the event will feature 500 exhibitors and will be attended by 2,500 to 3,000 buyers over the two days.

The show will feature an extensive programme of events, conferences and masterclasses – 10 in total – which will focus on the latest trends and regulations facing the US wine and spirits industry.

Last year, Vinexpo said it would double the planned size of its 2018 New York event to “accommodate demand”.

Guillaume Deglise, CEO of Vinexpo, said at the time: “In such a fast-evolving market, it’s the opportunity for the wine and spirits industry to meet and for producers to make strategic decisions for the distribution of their brands in the US.”

Established in 1981, the Vinexpo umbrella holds wine and sprits trade exhibitions in four locations: Bordeaux, Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York.

In September 2017, Vinexpo initiated a new concept, Vinexpo Explorer – two days of business meetings and vineyard discovery.
