Fords Gin has appointed Máté Haitai as brand ambassador

Fords Gin is a collaboration between London-based Thames Distillers’ master distiller Charles Maxwell and Simon Ford, founder of The 86 Co, which owns Fords Gin.

Hartai will be based in Austin, Texas, and will also offer support to other brands within The 86 Co’s portfolio.

Hartai has previously worked as a bartender at Dallas’s Midnight Rambler and at Black Swan Saloon.

He recently spent three years as corporate beverage director for HG Sply Co and Standard Service, where he was responsible for overseeing cocktail creation, staff education, and decreasing pour costs while improving the quality and style of service.

Jason Kosmas, co-founder of Fords Gin and The 86 Co, said: “As Fords Gin continues to expand its presence across the globe and garner greater attention among consumers and bartenders alike, we are forming a new brand advocacy and education team that will spread the gospel of all things gin and gin cocktails.

“Máté’s stellar track record of educating countless bartenders on classic cocktails coupled with his knowledge of gin and his passion for the industry makes him an ideal addition to the team.”
