By Owen BellwoodLeicestershire-based gin brand Burleighs has launched a special Valentine’s Day edition of its Mail a Martini pre-made cocktail.
The new expression combines Burleighs Pink Edition with lychee and rose liqueursMail a Martini offers drinks fans the chance to have a pre-made Martini cocktail, made with Burleighs Gin, delivered straight to their door.
Launched in 2017, the cocktail delivery service has now added a limited-edition Valentine’s Day expression to its range, called the Lychee and Rose Martini.
The Lychee and Rose Martini combines Burleighs Pink Edition gin with a lychee liqueur and Liquour de Rose to create a ‘balanced and refreshing’ cocktail.
Burleighs Pink Edition was launched in 2016 and was inspired by a trip to Japan made by master distiller Jamie Baxter. It features botanicals such as preserved Japanese cherry blossom, pink grapefruit, hibiscus and rose flowers.
The Mail a Martini range costs £10 (US$14) per cocktail and, as well as the new Valentine’s Day edition, contains a classic Martini, made with Burleighs Export Strength Gin and dry vermouth; and a Black Forrest edition, which combines Burleighs Signature Gin, Chambord and Mozart Dark chocolate liqueur.
