Castle Brands to collaborate with Bardstown Bourbon Co

Castle Brands has joined the Bardstown Bourbon Company’s Collaborative Distilling Programme, which will help the firm produce custom whiskey for its Jefferson’s Bourbon portfolio.

The collaboration will produce small batch whiskeys for Jefferson’s portfolio

The two companies will embark upon their first distillation this year, creating small batch Bourbons and whiskeys.

As part of the distillation programme, Castle Brands will work with master distiller Steve Nally and the distilling team at Bardstown Distillery Company’s distilling team, lead by John Hargrove, executive director of distilling operations.

John Glover, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Castle Brands, said: “We know that Bardstown’s experienced distilling team will provide the continuity needed to produce the consistent taste profile that our discerning Jefferson’s consumers have come to expect.”

Due to the success of its Collaborative Distilling Programme, Bardstown Bourbon Company recently broke ground on a distillery expansion.

The distillery will double its production capacity from 3 million gallons to 6m gallons by June 2018.

Earlier this month, Castle Brands purchased US$4.2 million worth of mature and new-fill Bourbon stocks to “accelerate the growth” of its Jefferson’s Bourbon portfolio.
