Walsh Whiskey appoints distributors in New Zealand and Taiwan

In Taiwan, 99 Bottles will distribute limited editions of The Irishman (17 Year Old and Cask Strength 2017) and Writers’ Tears (Cask Strength 2017).

Based in Taichung, 99 Bottles is an importer and wholesaler specialising in exclusive single cask bottlings.

99 Bottles co-founder and director of imports, Amanda Wammer, said: “We are super-excited to include The Irishman and Writers’ Tears, two premium handcrafted Irish whiskeys, in our portfolio. This is the fortuitous result of a focused treasure hunt at Prowein this March, making perfect additions to our portfolio which allow us to provide even more options for our wide-ranging whisky fans in the Taiwanese market.”

In New Zealand, Walsh Whiskey Distillery has appointed Eurovintage as its exclusive distributor.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with the Walsh Distillery in New Zealand and welcome The Irishman and Writers Tears into the Eurovintage portfolio,” said Titch Hay, director of Thirsty Camel.

“We have continued to focus on premium spirit and liqueur brands and we are privileged to strengthen our portfolio with these international brands. We look forward to launching The Irishman and Writers’ Tears portfolios in the New Zealand market.”

Walsh Whiskey Distillery’s senior global sales manager, Shane Fitzharris, said: “We are delighted to be working with Eurovintage and 99 Bottles. New Zealand and Taiwan expand our presence in the Asia-Pacific region, which includes Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia.”
