Vinexpo to launch show in Paris
By Amy HopkinsWine and spirits event organiser Vinexpo will continue to expand its global presence by launching a new trade show in Paris in 2020.
Vinexpo will launch a Paris iteration of its showVinexpo Paris will take place 13-15 January 2020 at the Paris Convention Centre (Porte de Versailles).
“An exhibition at the start of the year means professionals can plan ahead and schedule purchasing.” said Guillaume Deglise, Vinexpo CEO. “This event will strengthen our brand as a strategic partner in the wine and spirits sector”
Former Moët Hennessy CEO Christophe Navarre was appointed president of Vinexpo earlier this year. He said: “For over 30 years, the Vinexpo brand has raised the profile of the wine and spirits sector. It’s the start of a new era for Vinexpo, and I’m convinced that the strategic decisions being made today will fly the flag for the industry.”
According to Vinexpo, its Paris show will “become an active platform to the spirits industry”.
The company has also announced that the date for its 2019 Bordeaux show has been brought forward to 13-16 May, about four weeks earlier than its usual slot.
Vinexpo is set to host its inaugural New York show in March 2018, and recently announced plans to double its floorspace.
