The Spirits Business gets new staff writer
The Spirits Business has appointed Owen Bellwood to its editorial team as staff writer.
Owen Bellwood, staff writer for The Spirits BusinessOwen brings both journalism and drinks experience to our award-winning team, having worked across the media and hospitality sectors.
He most recently worked as a freelancer across Lincs FM’s Yorkshire stations, sourcing and writing original content, and also served as duty manager at The Devonshire Cat in Sheffield, where he assisted in creating new drinks menus.
Owen has a degree in Journalism from the University of Lincoln, where he also completed his NCTJ diploma.
In his role as staff writer at The Spirits Business, Owen will be producing wide-ranging stories for our website and also content for our monthly magazine.

SB‘s former senior staff writer, Nicola Carruthers, has been promoted to the role of news, web and social editor, taking over from Annie Hayes, who left the magazine at the end of September.
