Morrisons targets Black Friday shoppers with 4.5-litre Famous Grouse

UK retailer Morrisons has launched a 4.5-litre bottle of Famous Grouse blended Scotch whisky for £70 (US$93) as part of its Black Friday deals.

The bottle is said to save customers £15.50 (US$20.60) and is targeted towards Christmas shoppers.

Morrisons has also launched larger format 1.75l bottles of Jägermeister and Disaronno for £30 (US$40).

“Dads and Grandads are notoriously hard to buy for. So, we’ve tried to make Christmas shopping a little bit easier for our customers by coming up with the perfect gift for Dad,” said Tom Rothwell, Morrisons spirits buyer.

“What could be a better present for a whiskey lover than a giant bottle of whiskey?”

Stocks for the larger format bottles are limited.
