Fever-Tree to exceed full-year forecast

Premium mixer and tonic producer Fever-Tree has reported “strong growth” in the second half of 2017 and now expects full-year results to be “materially ahead” of forecasts.

Tonic producer Fever-Tree expects to end 2017 ahead of market expectations

In the company’s trading update ahead of the year ending 31 December 2017, released yesterday (7 November), the company anticipates the results will be “materially ahead of current market expectations”.

Fever-Tree said its focus on taste and ingredients continues to “transform the global mixer category” driving growth across all the group’s regions.

The company witnessed “exceptional performance” in the UK, the group’s largest market, with the rate of sales growth and momentum strong across both the on- and off-trade.

“The mixer category is now the fastest growing category across the UK soft drinks sector with Fever-Tree responsible for 97% of the value growth in retail over the last 12 months,” the company said in the update.

In July last year, Fever-Tree more than doubled its profits in the first half of 2017, reporting strong growth across all regions and channels.
