Cognac Larsen unveils ultra-premium Extra Or

Cognac Larsen has extended its portfolio with the creation of a new ultra-premium XO expression: Extra Or.

Cognac Larsen Extra Or will launch in October 2017

The new bottling has been crafted by Robert Andrieux, Larsen master blender, and comprises eaux-de-vies from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne Cognac regions.

Bottled at 40% abv, Cognac Larsen Extra Or is said to have aromas of coffee, cocoa, plums and vanilla, leading to truffle, balsamic, spice and brioche notes on the palate. It will be available in international and travel retail markets from 1 October at an RRP of €250 (US$298).

Jérôme Durand, managing director at Cognac Larsen and Renault, said: “Extra Or epitomises the Larsen style – which is all about purity, elegance and fruit expression – and takes it to another level.

“It reflects what we have been doing over the past two years to rethink the brand’s identity and positioning and emphasise its heritage. It perfectly demonstrates our skill at blending and ageing older eaux-de-vies.

“In terms of our offer to the market and to Cognac lovers, it completes our portfolio perfectly.”
