Royal Mile Whiskies to launch online auction site
Spirits retailer Royal Mile Whiskies is preparing to launch its own online whisky auction site in September: Royal Mile Whisky Auctions.
Royal Mile Whisky Auctions will officially launch in SeptemberDr Chris White will be heading the site as auctioneer, allowing consumers to sell through online auctions and have their products viewed by “thousands of buyers around the world”.
The first auction will get under way on 15 September and Royal Mile Whiskies is already accepting bottles to be go under the hammer.
Seller commission rates will be 5%, while buyer commission rates will be 10%. Royal Mile Whisky Auctions will also be offering five drop-off points for sellers across the UK.
