Quintessential takes over Cockspur Rum UK distribution
Greenall’s Gin maker Quintessential Brands has taken over UK distribution of Cockspur Rum from Whyte & Mackay.
Cockspur Rum will be distributed in the UK by Quintessential Brands from 1 September
Barbados-produced Cockspur Rum was acquired by Woodland Radicle for an undisclosed sum in July this year. Its line consists of traditional rum, a ready-to-drink rum punch, and a line of ‘splashes’ suitable for mixing in cocktails.
Cockspur will be distributed through Quintessential Brands’s off-trade and on-trade distribution arms, Essential Drinks and Marblehead Brand Development respectively, from 1 September 2017.
Its contract with Whyte & MacKay will cease at the end of August.
