Port Askaig Islay Scotch whisky prepares for US launch

Port Askaig 110° Proof will launch in 10 US states in September
California-based ImpEx will unveil Port Askaig 110° Proof at Whisky Live Pleasanton on 2 September, before it is rolled out to California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Illinois, Maryland, Washington DC, Missouri, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Michigan and Delaware.
Port Askaig 110° Proof single malt Scotch is aged in American oak barrels and bottled at 55% abv. It will have an RRP of US$74.99 per bottle in the US.
The expression will mostly be made available in the off-trade, with plans to expand the permanent range to three SKUs, as well as launching limited edition and US-exclusive single cask bottlings. Brand owner Elixir House plans to expand Port Askaig’s availability to additional states in 2018.
