Martini and Bar Termini plan second charity bike ride
By Melita KielyVermouth brand Martini has once again teamed up with Tony Conigliaro’s Bar Termini in London to organise a charity bike ride across Italy.
The 200km cycle will start in Milan on Saturday 23 September and finish on Monday 25 September in Turin – connecting two of Italy’s aperitivo cities.
A total of 30 amateur cyclists from the food and drinks industry will take part in the journey, and will be invited to each choose a charity to benefit from the funds raised. It follows the success of last year’s inaugural charity cycle.
Roberta Mariani, Martini global ambassador, said: “We are thrilled to be working once more with Tony Conigliaro and the team at Bar Termini – one of the world’s most celebrated bars – to support the Milano Torino Cycle Event.
“It’s going to be an amazing weekend of intense competition, physical challenge, friendship, festivity and great food and drinks – I can’t wait.”
Conigliaro said he was “really excited” about the partnership’s second year.
He added: “Italian aperitivo culture is the essence of Bar Termini, so riding this journey is a very special experience for us, but important for the team is the goal of raising even more money for charity than last year.”
