Lakes Distillery unveils three new liqueurs

Cumbria’s The Lakes Distillery has extended its portfolio with the addition of three liqueurs, available in 200ml and 700ml bottles.

The three new expression joins the company’s liqueur range, which includes Sloe Gin Liqueur and Damson Gin Liqueur

The new liqueurs, all bottled at 25% abv, include The Lakes Elderflower Gin Liqueur, The Lakes Espresso Vodka Liqueur and The Lakes Salted Caramel Vodka Liqueur.

According to the distillery, the new expressions have received a “surge in pre-order demand” ahead of their September release.

The Lakes Elderflower Gin Liqueur features The Lakes Gin with notes of “fresh elderflower, juniper berries and hints of coriander”. It is recommended mixed with prosecco or a light tonic.

The Lakes Espresso Vodka Liqueur blends freshly roasted coffee beans with dark chocolate and hints of Madagascan vanilla pods.

The third expression, The Lakes Salted Caramel Liqueur, is described as having “smooth notes of salted caramel with a swirl of white chocolate and hints of fire toasted marshmallows”.

The new vodka liqueurs are recommended served neat or in cocktails.

“The new liqueurs are an exciting product range for The Lakes Distillery,” said Dhavall Gandhi, master distiller at The Lakes Distillery.

“Not only do the spirits highlight the quality of our staple range but how we can use these spirits with ingredients to create deep and delicious flavours.”

The new expressions join the company’s liqueur range, which includes The Lakes Sloe Gin Liqueur and The Lakes Damson Gin Liqueur.

Both gin liqueurs will be redesigned with new branded bottles to bring the design in-line with the new products. Due to “high demand”, the gin liqueurs will also be available in 700ml bottles, alongside the 200ml format.

The liqueurs will retail at £15 for a 200ml bottle and £27.95 for a 700ml bottle. The bottles will be available from September on The Lakes Distillery’s website, along with retailers and outlets across the UK.
