Eastside Distilling creates habanero-infused potato vodka
Portland-based spirits producer Eastside Distilling has partnered with a local sauce maker to create a habanero-infused potato vodka.
Eastside Distilling and Secret Aardvark have created habanero-infused Hot Potato Vodka
Hot Potato Vodka is hand-infused with Secret Aardvark’s habanero chilli peppers and is designed for mixing in Bloody Mary cocktails, sipping neat or over ice.
Bottled at 40% abv, the vodka will be available in limited quantities from 15 August in Eastside Distilling’s own tasting rooms in Southeast Portland, Bridgeport Mall, Woodburn Mall, Clackamas Mall, Washington Square, and select stores in Oregon.
Mel Heim, EVP of operations and master distiller of Eastside Distilling, said: “Secret Aardvark and Eastside have collaborated in the past, with our Below Deck Silver Rum being a critical component of their Drunken Jerk Jamaican Marinade.
“Now it’s our turn to showcase their habaneros in our mouth-watering, new Hot Potato Vodka. It’s great to see local crafters collaborating to make something uniquely Portland.”
In May this year, Eastside Distilling acquired a controlling stake in fellow Oregon-based spirits producer Big Bottom Distilling.
