Portland spirits producer Eastside Distilling has appointed former vice president of finance and country CFO for Campari Canada Shelly Saunders to its board of directors.

Eastside Distilling has appointed Shelly Saunders to its board of directors

Saunders brings more than 25 years’ experience in finance to the board, having held positions including vice president of finance/FP&A for Campari America/Skyy Spirits.

Saunders will become an independent member of the board and serve on Eastside Distilling’s audit committee.

Grover Wickersham, chairman of the board of directors, said: “We welcome Shelly to the Eastside board.

“In addition to having been a finance professional with one of the largest global spirits companies in the industry, Shelly has excellent knowledge of, and contacts within the industry.

“I look forward to Shelly’s guidance and expertise as a member of the Eastside board.”

Saunders currently works as a consultant for global consulting firm Resources Global Professionals, a position she has held since March 2015.

From June 2013 until January 2015, Saunders worked as VP of finance and country CFO for Campari Canada. From July 2009 to May 2013, Saunders held the post of VP of finance for Campari America/Skyy Spirits.

In May this year, Eastside Distilling acquired a controlling stake in fellow Oregan-based spirits producer Big Bottom Distilling. The acquisition followed the company’s purchase of MotherLode Craft Distillery in March this year.
