Bloom Gin owner Quintessential Brands has appointed Max Hayes as sales director of Quintessential Brands Ireland, as part of its international sales expansion plans.

Max Hayes has more than 18 years’ experience in the drinks industry

Hayes, who takes up the position with immediate effect, will be responsible for leading the development of the Irish sales organisation, looking after both the branded and private label businesses.

He will also take a leading role in the development of the Irish spirits portfolio globally, as Quintessential Brands strives to expand both its Irish whiskey and Irish cream businesses.

Hayes boasts more than 18 years’ experience in the drinks industry, having held senior positions in C&C Group, Allied Domecq and Beam Suntory, working in both the domestic Irish market and internationally.

Warren Scott, chief executive officer, Quintessential Brands Group, said: “I am delighted that Max is joining Quintessential Brands. He brings with him extensive experience, which will accelerate the growth of our business in Ireland and beyond, particularly as we develop The Dublin Liberties Distillery.

“Max will play a key role in the leadership of this going forward, as we continue to invest in growing our business in Ireland, across our manufacturing facilities and our premium brands.”
