Walsh Whiskey and Dugas ink distribution deal
Walsh Whiskey Distillery has named Dugas of Paris as its French distributor for premium Irish whiskey brand Writers Tears.
The new distribution deal was signed at this year’s Vinexpo Bordeaux
From 1 September 2017, Dugas of Paris will distribute the Writers Tears range which comprises Writers Tears – Copper Pot, Writers Tears – Red Head Single Malt, and Writers Tears – Cask Strength.
Established in 1980 by Monsieur Francois-Xavier Dugas, the Dugas company is a distributor of leading spirits with a particular emphasis on Irish whiskey, Scotch whisky, rums, fortified wines and eaux de vie.
Announcing the partnership at Vinexpo Bordeaux this week, Walsh Whiskey founder and managing director Bernard Walsh said: “We believe Dugas is a great fit for Writers Tears through its exclusive network of high-end bars and retail outlets across France which is one of our priority markets worldwide. We look forward to a successful, long-term partnership with Dugas.”
