The Teeling Whiskey Distillery has welcomed its 185,000th visitor on the same day as it celebrates the second anniversary of the Irish whiskey production site.

The 185,000th visitor was Patricia Lienig who had travelled to the distillery from Frankfurt in Germany.

Visitor numbers to the distillery have more than doubled in the last 12 months, the brand says.

“It has been a very successful and busy year for Teeling Whiskey and we are absolutely delighted to welcome our 185,000th visitor through the doors today,” said Jack Teeling, founder and managing director of Teeling Whiskey.

“Since we opened the first operational distillery in Dublin in over 125 years in June 2015, our distillery has attracted visitors from both at home and aboard and we look forward to continuing to grow our numbers over the next year.

“Irish whiskey is experiencing a renaissance and we are proud to be at the forefront of this. As we look to the second half of the year, we will be releasing some new innovative products and we will also be announcing some exciting plans for the distillery.”

Teeling has released a number of new products in the past year, including the first expression in the wine cask-focused Brabazon Series, and the third whiskey in its The Revival series.
