House of Carbonadi unveils ultra-premium Italian vodka

Californian spirits company House of Carbonadi has rolled out a new ultra-premium Italian vodka brand in the US.

Carbonadi is made with crystalline water and organic wheat from the Italian Alps

Bottled at 80 proof, Carbonadi originates from a family-owned distillery located in the Piemonte region of Italy. It is made with crystalline water and organic wheat from the nearby Italian Alps.

The initial wash is distilled five times through active charcoal to remove impurities, then re-filtered through uncut carbonados (microporous black diamonds), said to remove others not captured by traditional filtration methods.

A final step of micro-oxygenation “lengthens” the liquid’s molecules to create the “smooth” expression.

Carbonadi has hints of “green herbs, bay leaf and dried mint” on the nose, while on the palate it is described as “crisp and clean”.

“Thoughtful hospitality and exquisite craftsmanship have long been passion points of mine, and Carbonadi was born from a desire to create a sleek, high quality sipping vodka in line with the Italian lifestyle those characteristics embody,” said Richard Miller III, House of Carbonadi CEO.

“After four years of development, we are proud to introduce Carbonadi and grow this exceptional brand.”

Suggested serves include straight up or on the rocks, and in a classic Martini.

Carbonadi is available in 1 litre bottles with a suggested retail price of US$89.99. 750ml formats will be available soon with a suggested retail price of US$79.99.

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits currently distributes Carbonadi within California. It will be available in New York and Miami later this year.
