Fentimans targets bartenders with new syrup line

British tonic and mixer brand Fentimans has moved into the syrup category with the launch of its new House of Broughton range in the on-trade.

Targeted at bartenders, the range has a long bottle neck and built-in pourer for ease of use

The new range, called House of Broughton, compliments Fentimans full portfolio and is made using only natural ingredients.

The syrups have a “unique high strength” flavour, and feature a long bottle neck and built-in pourer for ease of use.

The line-up comprises of six flavours: Cucumber, Ginger, Rose, Elderflower, Raspberry and Simple, which is made using only pure sugar from natural sources.

“We worked very closely with a panel of top bartenders throughout the development of our new House of Broughton range,” explains John Carslake, special projects at Fentimans.

“We learned that other syrups are considered as being too sweet, so we addressed this issue by creating syrups which have a higher flavour strength. This means that less syrup is used so then less sugar is added to drinks which avoids over-sweetening. It makes it easier for bartenders and users to achieve the optimum balance between flavour, sweetness and sourness; therefore, they can use less and achieve more

“The addition of syrups to our product portfolio is a natural progression for us and The House of Broughton offers all of Fentimans’ craft credentials and quintessentially British brand character.”

The House of Broughton range is made in small batches in the UK and packaged in 500ml bottles.

Fentimans has also created a guide to creating reimagined recipes of classic cocktails including the Cucumber Mary, Ginger Mojitos, Whiskey Sour and Velvet Rose.
