Diageo Global Travel names World Class semi-finalists

Diageo Global Travel, the drinks group’s dedicated travel retail arm, has named the three cruise ship bartenders it will put forward to the World Class semi-final.

Lazar Milosavljevic from Celebrity Cruises, Marc McArthur from Norwegian Cruise Line and Claudio Santos Liborio from Seabourn Cruise Line will all compete in the next round at the Diageo Bar 396 in Miami later today [20 June].

The winner will go on to represent Diageo Global Travel at the World Class Bartender of the Year final from 20-24 August in Mexico City.

Milosavljevic hails from Serbia and is a senior bartender on board Celebrity Reflection. He progressed to the next stage of the competition with his Cîroc Ocean Peach signature serve.

South African McArthur is head mixologist on Norwegian Escape and made the semi-finals for the second year in the row. His cocktail, The Autumn Dram, includes Haig Club as the base spirit.

Portugal’s Liborio is a bartender on the Seabourn Sojourn and made the semi-final with his Sherry Blossom serve, which includes both Bulleit Rye and Bourbon and is inspired by Japan’s cherry blossom trees.

Earlier this month Diageo GB named Jamie Jones of The Social Company as its World Class Bartender of the Year 2017. Jones will go on to compete in the World Class final representing the market.
