Gin distilled with collagen launches in Dublin Airport

Start-up spirits company Young In Spirit has partnered with Aer Rianta International (ARI) to launch CollaGin at The Loop in Dublin Airport.

CollaGin is the creation of Camilla Brown and Liz Beswick, founders of Young in Spirit

CollaGin is the brainchild of Camilla Brown and Liz Beswick and is the first in a range of distilled products containing collagen hit the market.

“We are incredibly excited to exclusively launch CollaGin at The Loop at Dublin Airport,” said Beswick. “We have been working towards this launch with The Loop for a year but we have taken the time to ensure that absolutely everything about our product, from the branding, to the recipe itself and even product name, are absolutely perfect and ready for market, before we launched.

“The advice and support provided by The Loop has been instrumental throughout the entire process and we have already been overwhelmed by the wider support of consumers throughout the island of Ireland.”

Blended with “anti-ageing” botanicals such as angelica root, pink grapefruit and star anise, the gin is said to be “fragrant and soft” on the palate with a “velvety vanilla” finish.

The addition of collagen does not affect the taste, smell, or appearance of the gin, according to the founders.

Gin is The Loop’s fastest growing category, second only to Irish whiskey. In 2016, sales of gin increased by 70%, with Irish-produced gin growing by nearly 200%.

“CollaGin is a tremendous new addition to The Loop and we are truly delighted to finally have this exclusive product on our shelves. The product follows the launch of Anti-AGin in April last year – a brainchild of food and drink innovation company Bompas & Parr that contains “age-defying botanicals” and drinkable pure collagen.
