UPS executive Gutmann joins Brown-Forman board
Jack Daniel’s producer Brown-Forman has elected United Parcel Service executive Kate Gutmann to its board of directors.
Kate Gutmann has joined the board of Brown-FormanGutmann, who is currently chief sales and solutions officer for UPS with responsibility for more than US$60 billion in revenue, has 26 years of global sales and marketing experience.
She is a graduate of Siena College and a member of The Committee of 200 and the International Women’s Forum.
“Kate Gutmann brings excellent global strategic, marketing, and sales leadership and expertise to our board and we look forward to her making significant contributions to Brown-Forman’s growth for many years to come as we continue on our path of building forever,” said Geo. Garvin Brown, chairman of Brown-Forman.
Gutmann’s election brings Brown-Forman’s total number of board directors to 13.
Last week, Brown-Forman confirmed that it was “not for sale” following reports that Svedka Vodka and Corona beer producer Constellation Brands had made a takeover bid for the company.
