The Dram Team co-founder launches UK whisky fest

Chris Borrow, part of the team behind UK whisky subscription service The Dram Team, is to launch a whisky festival in Bristol in partnership with Amy Seton, aka The Whisky Miss.

Set to take place on 9 September at the city’s Loco Klub, Bristol Whisky Underground aims to bring together whisky brands from around the globe with fans from the south west.

The duo hope to build a “festival experience”, with music, street food vendors and cigar workshops offered alongside tastings and masterclasses.

Brands already confirmed include Tomintoul, Glencadam, Loch Lomond Whiskies, Glen Scotia, Isle of Arran, Jack Daniel’s, Woodford Reserve, Tullamore Dew and Australian single malt, Starward.

“Bristol is an amazing city for creative events of all types, as well as a genuine nirvana for foodies and sophisticated drinkers alike,” said Borrow.

“We wanted to give local whisky lovers an occasion where they can experience fantastic whiskies in a true festival atmosphere, celebrating all that is great about Bristol’s food and drinks scene in a stunning and historic setting. It’s going to be a lot of fun!”

Bristol Whisky Underground tickets are available now from the event’s website, whiskybristol.co.uk.

Borrow founded The Dram Team in June 2016, in partnership with Greg Dillon, owner and author at greatdrams.com blog, and programmer James Glen.
